CAS : # 4 <br /> <br /> INDUSTRIAL PROSPECT UPDATES <br />By: James.E. Norman, City Administrator <br /> <br />Project Updates: <br /> <br />~aste Management. <br />City Staff has been negotiating with Waste Management for the 44.6-acre ~ite south of the <br />£ormer Anoka-Ramsey Landfill for industrial purposes. Waste Management has tentatively <br />agreed to sell the property in two separate phases beginning with 50% closing in October of <br />2001 and the balance paid in November of 2002. The purchase price for the property is <br />$1,657,925. <br /> <br />In a related matter, Staff is reaching final stages of negotiations with an industrial prospect to <br />building a 1~5,000 square foot industrial facility in the northwest portion of the Waste <br />Management site. Staff will give an update during the EDA meeting. <br /> <br />St. Paul Terminals Project. <br />Staff has been working with a new owner of the former Danny's Tranny operation (St. Paul <br />Terminals) for a larger re-development project. The project would include the acquisition of <br />three separate properties to the east of St. Paul Terminals and include the sale of land for <br />industrial use north of 141st Avenue to the west Basalt Street, for industrial purposes. Staff <br />will give an update during the EDA meeting. <br /> <br />Kenko/Alloy Recovery. <br />Staff has been negotiating with the property owners with Alloy Recovery and other property <br />owners to the west of the current City PubIic Works facility to relocate Kenko Construction. <br />Kenko was recently displaced during the construction of 14 ]st Avenue as part of the Gateway <br />Industrial Park #5 (Makkon's Property) project.
