Chief Auspos noted that the capital outlay includes the purchase of two squad cars and <br />explained that part of the 5 year program includes rotating vehicles every 60,000 miles. <br /> <br />Case #4: Public Works: <br /> <br />Public Works Superintendent stated that the 1990 requested capital outlay for Public Works <br />(see Attachment E) consists of a tandem truck with blade and a floor crane. Mr. Mevissen <br />explained that the City streets cannot be plowed within 8 hours with the one existing track. <br /> <br />With regards to contracting out portions of park maintenance, Mr. Hartley stated that he <br />will be providing the Budget Committee with an analysis of quality and cost effectiveness <br />of park maintenance duties accomplished by Public Works staff versus that which was <br />contracted out.
