• <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The City of Ramsey Economic Development Authority (EDA) conducted a regular meeting on <br />February 9, 1999, at the Anoka - Hennepin Technical College, Room 115A, 1355 Highway #10 <br />NW, Anoka, MN 55303. <br />Members Present: <br />Members Absent: <br />Also Present: <br />David Kent, Chairperson <br />Lydia Scheiber, Vice -Chair <br />Chris Riley <br />Glen Hardin <br />Natalie Haas Steffen <br />Gerald Zimmerman <br />Kenneth Wagner <br />Case #1: Terms of Office for EDA Members <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />James E. Norman, City Administrator <br />Cindy Sherman, Community Development Director <br />Sean Walther, Community Development Assistant <br />Mike Mulrooney, Economic Development Consultant <br />Chris Bulow, Bulow, Inc. <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chairperson Kent called the meeting to order at Anoka- Hennepin Technical College at 7:35 a.m. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Motion by Mr. Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Haag Steffen to approve the minutes <br />dated January 12, 1999. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Kent, Mr. Hardin, Councilmember Haas Steffen, Mr. <br />Riley, Ms. Scheiber, Councilmember Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Absent: Mr. Wagner. <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY BUSINESS <br />As provided for in State Statute, EDA members' will be limited to two consecutive six -year <br />terns and City Council representatives' term will be limited to their service on the City Council. <br />The initial terms of EDA positions will be staggered as one -year, two -year, three -year, four -year, <br />five -year, and two six -year terms respectively. <br />Motion by Mr. Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Haas Steffen to set and recommend City <br />Council affirm staggered terms expiring on December 31 for the Economic Development <br />Economic Development Authority/February 9, 1999 <br />Page 1 of 5 <br />
