Mr. Wirz stated that he has started to construct a
pole building on this property; part of the building will be used for a shop
and part will be used for a warehouse. Mr. Wirz stated that he is requesting
approval to use the front portion of this structure for retail purposes to sell
trees and shrubs.

Mr. Bob Longfield, 5731 170th Lane N.W., commented that he didn't think the
neighbors had problems with the trees and nursery but were concerned about
future uses of the property. Mr. Longfield inquired as to what happens to the
property and building if Mr. Wirz sells the property.

The Commission responded that any other use than a nursery and retail sales
would require another conditional use permit and neighbors would be notified of
that request at that time.

Mr. Wirz commented that he was requesting approval to use only the west 4-1/2
acres of his property for retail sales. Mr. Wirz also stated that he wished to
store his bobcat, trailers, tractors and trucks in the building.

Commissioner Zimmerman asked how Mr. Wirz obtained a building permit. Mr. Wirz
stated that the property is agricultural; agricultural buildings are allowed.
October 7, 1986
