PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKACOUNTY <br /> STATE 0FMINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on <br />Tuesday, June 17, 1986 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. NW, <br />Ramsey, Minnesota regarding North Fork, Inc.'s request for preliminary <br />development plan approval of the second phase of Northfork P.U.D. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Kenneth Peterson, Chairman <br />Mr. Gerald Zimmerman <br />Mr. Charles LaDue <br />Mr. Terry Hendriksen <br />Mr. James Howell <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Ms. Anne Norris, Community Development Director <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mr. Roy Shumway <br />Mr. Benjamin Deemer <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson called the public hearing to order at 7:50 p.m. <br /> <br />PPBL~ ~EARING BUSINE~ <br /> <br />Mr. Dennis Peck was present representing North Fork Development, Inc. He <br />handed out copies of the preliminary plat to the Commissioners. He stated that <br />this is a continuation (second phase) of the Northfork plat and described how <br />this will connect with the first phase. Re explained that there will be 23 <br />lots and the average size of the lots will be 2.7 acres. Ail lots will front <br />on Andrie Street NW. He asked the Commission to refer to the City Engineer's <br />letter of June 17, 1986. <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson asked how the sales have been in the first addition of <br />Nor thf ork. <br /> <br />Mr. Peck stated that they have not been selling as fast as they had hoped. One <br />of the major setbacks has been that there are a number of lots in the Elk River <br />School District. There is some activity however. <br /> <br />Mr. Dan Pavlich, 8550 - 156th Lane NW, stated that he lives on the other side <br />of the lake and was wondering about future development there. <br /> <br />Mr. Peck stated that there is no development anticipated east of Lake Itasca. <br />There may be 8 or 10 lots on the southeast corner, but the bulk of development <br />is on the north and west sides of the lake. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Zimmerman and seconded by Commissioner Howell to adjourn <br />the public hearing. <br /> <br />P & Z Public Hearing/June 17, 1986 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
