Councilmember Tossey introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #12 -09 -137 <br />CONSIDER A RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT THE IT MANAGER'S RESIGNATION, TO <br />AUTHORIZE STAFF TO REHIRE THE PREVIOUS IT INTERN, FOLLOWED BY AN <br />IT RECRUITMENT <br />WHEREAS, staff received a letter of resignation dated September 6, 2012 from Mr. <br />Dean Busch, the IT Manager; and <br />WHEREAS, in July, the IT Intern left the City resulting in less IT support; and <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends immediately re- hiring the previous IT Intern, Jason <br />Fredrickson, for temporary IT support; and <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends recruiting for an IT Specialist; and <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends backfilling the higher level tasks with LOGIS at 24 hours <br />per month or on as- needed and utilizing Support Services Captain Jeff Katers for any <br />unexpected /high priority needs. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br />1) Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: <br />Motion to approve resolution # 12- 09 -XXX as follows: <br />1) Accept the IT Manager's resignation. <br />2) Hire Jason Fredrickson for temporary IT Support at $16.25 per hour. <br />3) Authorize a recruitment for an IT Specialist at step 1 of the wage scale which is $20.50 per <br />hour <br />4) Backfill the immediate higher level tasks with LOGIS at 24 hours per month or as- <br />needed <br />5) Utilize Support Services Captain Jeff Katers for unexpected /high priority needs. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />McGlone, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Ramsey <br />Councilmember Tossey <br />Councilmember McGlone <br />Councilmember Backous <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Councilmember Wise <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />
