CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, October 23, <br />2012, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: Mayor Bob Ramsey <br />Councilmember Randy Backous <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Colin McGlone <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember Jason Tossey <br />Councilmember Jeffrey Wise <br />Also Present: <br />City Administrator Kurtis Ulrich <br />Finance Director Diana Lund <br />Human Resources Manager Colleen Lasher <br />Development Services Manager Timothy Gladhill <br />Management Analyst Patrick Brama <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Development Manager Darren Lazan <br />Interim Engineer Shane Nelson <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Ramsey called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:35 p.m. <br />2. TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br />2.01: Sunwood Drive Project — Review Funding Package, Expenditures to Date and <br />Construction Challenges <br />Interim Engineer Nelson reviewed the staff report and described the funding scenarios for the <br />Sunwood Drive and Armstrong Boulevard project. He stated he had reviewed the Council's <br />meeting minutes and did not find any indication that the actual budget for this project had been <br />approved but found The COR grading at Market Place was a separate line item. Interim <br />Engineer Nelson reviewed the Council's past discussions related to this project's funding, <br />potential shortfall of $200,000, and funding via future land sales. <br />Councilmember Wise noted this project started initially as an HRA project with funding coming <br />from the City. <br />City Council Work Session / October 23, 2012 <br />Page 1 of 11 <br />
