Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION#13-01-008 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXTENSION OF SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH <br />OPUS 21 FOR UTILITY BILLING SERVICES <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey currently owns, operates and maintains its own utility <br />systems; and <br />WHEREAS, the costs in conjunction with providing those utility systems are born by the <br />uses through payment of utility billings; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey currently uses the services of OPUS 21 to bill utility <br />services on a quarterly basis; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has been in a contract relationship with OPUS 21 From <br />February 7, 2008 with the scheduled ending date of February 6, 2013; and <br />WHEREAS, the City would like to extend the contract with OPUS 21 for the period of <br />February 7, 2013 through February 6, 2016, with two one-year renewal options which could <br />extend the contract through February 6, 2018. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />That the City Administrator is hereby authorized to enter into a three-year billing agreement <br />with OPUS 21 effective February 7, 2013 with the addition of two one-year renewal options. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember, <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />the 8t1 day of January, 2013. <br />Mayor <br />
