NARRATIVE
Describe your proposals objectives, outcomes and the projects benefits. Consider the who, what,
why, how and when approach. Ensure that the printing is legible and include exhibits, photos or
additional sheets if necessary.
Objective: The enhancement of the City of Ramsey's Parks and Recs offerings through
the addition of an 18-hole disc golf course at Elmcrest Park.
Benefits: The increased utilization of an existing park through the offering of a unique
recreational activity that appeals to people of all ages. In particular, a disc golf course
would give youth in the neighborhood a healthy and challenging outlet for their
energies as well as being a possible recreational resource for the surrounding schools.
Why disc golf: Disc golf is consistent with the Park and Recreation Commission's
primary mission because it is a safe and unique recreational activity that appeals to a
diverse group. Also, it has a low environmental impact and promotes the balance of
utilization and conservation of outdoor resources.
PROJECT CONSIDERATIONS
The following statements are intended to encourage quality projects that best address needs and
provide optimum return on City participation.
