Crew assisted with traffic control. <br />o — Multiple Duty Officer calls for fire alarm and C.O. alarms sounding <br />• Fire Administration <br />o Attended Joint Law Enforcement Committee (JLEC) meeting at Sheriff's office <br />o Attended meeting to discuss County plan for peer councilors <br />o Discussions with Building Official to determine code requirements for former <br />Super Valu building <br />• Took a physical and logical inventory of the phones for city staff, and with Kathy's help <br />updated the staff phone listing. <br />• Met with EPA audio to discuss what services they can offer related to Hallway Monitor <br />Project, which would involve placing 2 -3 monitors in the Municipal Center hallways near <br />the license center and police department. These monitors would be used to display <br />current events, schedules and other useful gewgaws. <br />• Worked in conjunction with Patrick to create a policy regarding audio recordings of <br />closed meetings. With the new policy each department will be responsible for managing <br />their own recordings rather than a single person. This should eliminate most of the <br />confusion surrounding the existing process. IT will still have a hand process, whether it <br />be: training personnel on use of the recorder and /or software, or in converting the audio <br />recordings into smaller (more efficient) formats. <br />Parks <br />• Staff continues to maintain the ice each day at Ramsey's two skating facilities (and <br />occasionally at Bear Park). An errant puck broke a window at Central Park's warming <br />house (a first time occurrence there in the 20+ years the facility has been in service). <br />Patronage is down somewhat with the cold temps, with the warming houses closing early <br />several times. <br />• Spring planning is underway, with staff `running the numbers' in anticipation of the <br />Parks Capital Improvements discussion later this winter. Additionally, specifications are <br />nearing completion for three sites considered to receive contract mowing • service <br />proposals on; The Draw, the Municipal Center and the Northstar Transit facility (Met <br />Transit would reimburse the City). <br />Planning/Building <br />• Meeting with City of Anoka regarding alignment of Great River Energy (GRE) <br />Transmission Line <br />• Met with two (2) business owners considering expansion in 2013 <br />• Attended Metropolitan Council Grantee Orientation — TOD Grant Agreements to be <br />forwarded to City Council 2/26 <br />
