RAMSEY FIRE DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL STANDARDS General Rules and Reaulat!3ns All personnel of the Fire Department shall be subject to the lollowing rules and regulations. Any individual in violation of these rules and regulations shall be subject to disciplinary action. No fire fighter or officer shall indulge in or be under the influence of intoxicating liquors or drugs while on duty or in uniform, nor shall a fire fighter or officer bring or have brought into any station or any Department premises any intoxicating liquors or drugs without the express permission of the Chief. No fire fighter or officer shall ride on or drive apparatus or equipment or attend any fire or emergency, meeting or drill while under the influence of intoxicating liquor. Fire fighters and officers shall not speak disrespectfully of or to their superior officers or fellow members either at any station, training session or on duty at a fire and/or emergency. Each fire fighter or officer shall be held accountable for any disorderly or unlawful conduct on his part while on duty and/or representing or using the Department name. No fire fighter or officer shall make a false statement affecting the Department or any of its fire fighters or officers with the intention of deceiving; nor shall any fire fighter or officer adversely criticize the Department or the administration thereof publicly. All fire fighters and officers shall see that their own name is on the fire report to receive credit for each fire he/she responds to. o The officer in charge of the fire shall fill out or cause to be filled out fire reports after each fire; reports are 1o be filled out completely and to the best of their knowledge. 7. The driver of each vehicle shall see that that check list is completed. 8. The ranking officer on the fire scene will be in charge. If no officer is present, it should be the first duty of those members responding to determine who is in charge until an officer arrives. All fire fighters and officers answering fire calls must return to the fire station and see to it that equipment is back in service for the next response. Wait for the officer in charge to release you from duty. o No fire fighter or officer shall make or cause to be made false entries in any Department records, reports or communications with the intent to deceive or defraud. 10. Request for information concerning fires shall be referred to the Chief or his designee.
