CC Work Session Meeting Date: 02/05/2013 By: Jo Thieling, Administrative Services Title: Discuss Dates for Joint City Council Meeting with City of Anoka Background: The Ramsey Council previously agreed to an annual joint meeting date with the City of Anoka Council of Monday, March 11, to discuss matters of mutual interest. However, since that time, Anoka has asked that a different date be considered due to one of their Councilmembers being out of town on March 11. Alternative dates of April 8 or April 29 have been suggested as possible dates. Anoka would also be open to Tuesday, April 30, as opposed to the 29th, as a preference for Tuesday's was previously expressed by member(s) of the Ramsey Council. However, if Council would rather meet sooner, the other option would be April 8, which is a Monday. Again, once a date is established, staff will work out the details of the meeting. Observations /Alternatives: Schedule a joint meeting with the City of Anoka for Monday, April 8 or April 29 or Schedule a joint meeting with the City of Anoka for Tuesday, April 30 or Suggest a different date altogether for the joint meeting with the City of Anoka.
