CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, July 10, 1990 at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Richard Cich <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br />Councilmember Alan Pearson <br />Councilmember Stephen F. DeLuca <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator David Hartley <br />City Finance Officer Sandra Ashley <br />Mr. Mefland Otto / Hakanson Anderson Associates <br />City Attorney William Goodrich (Arrived 8:08 p.m.) <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council to order at 7:30 <br />p.m. and led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Douglas Fountain - 15255 Garnet Street N.W. - Mr. Fountain stated that persons in his <br />neighborhood have subscribed to the City's brush chipping program; that brush has been <br />stacked in the neighborhood for 2 1/2 months; and inquired as to when the brush would be <br />chipped. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley replied that the City has been divided into sections and the chipping is being <br />accomplished section by section. Mr. Hartley said that if Mr. Fountain would call the City <br />during regular working hours, he can get information regarding when his section is <br />scheduled to be chipped. <br /> <br />Tim Dusbabek - 7821 - 171st Avenue N.W. - Mr. Dusbabek stated that he is present <br />representing 22 families in Golden Eagle Estates; that are concerned for the safety of the <br />many children in the area resulting from the increased traffic resulting from the <br />developments of Trott Brook Ridge and Dellwood Hills. Mr. Dusbabek stated that when <br />Dellwood Hills and Trott Brook Ridge were being proposed, he stated his concerns to the <br />City regarding the traffic situation. At that time, Mr. Dusbabek stated that the residents of <br />Golden Eagle Estates were assured that their concerns would be taken into consideration. <br />Since that time, a decision has been made to make improvements to Bison Street N.W. <br />with double cul-de-sacs versus a through street. The additional traffic in the area will use <br />171st Avenue N.W. through Golden Eagle Estates to exit the area. Mr. Dusbabek stated <br />that now the quality of the residential life in Golden Eagle Estates is affected and suggested <br />that Council consider restricting traffic onto 171st Avenue N.W. Mr. Dusbabek submitted <br />letters, maps and a petition to the City Council regarding the concerns of the residents in <br />Golden Eagle Estates. <br /> <br />City Council / July 10, 1990 <br /> Page 3 of 14 <br /> <br /> <br />
