Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #13-02-032 <br />CONSIDER A RESOLUTION TO HIRE A PATROL OFFICER <br />WHEREAS, the Patrol Officer staffing levels are currently down from 23 officers to 21 <br />officers; and <br />WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee unanimously recommended recruiting for a <br />replacement Patrol Officer from the recent recruitment's applicant pool; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has successfully advanced Mr. Cory Gardner in the Patrol Officer <br />recruitment process; and <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Gardner has passed all of the necessary pre -employment testing; <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends hiring Mr. Cory Gardner, effective on or near February <br />28, 2013, at step 1 of the wage scale. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br />Motion to approve resolution 13-02-032 to hire Mr. Cory Gardner as a Patrol Officer, effective <br />on or near February 28, 2013, at $21.87 per hour, which is step 1 of the 2012 wage scale. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member, <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 12th day of February 2013. <br />
