Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #13-02-026 RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION #09-08-185 ESTABLISHING THE DUTIES OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE WHEREAS, the finance committee (previously known as the budget committee) was established in 1991; and WHEREAS, the role of the committee is to review and make recommendations to the City Council regarding financial matters that may arise; and WHEREAS, the finance committee will oversee the following matters that have a financial impact on the City: 1. Current Year General Fund Budget — Proposed, Amended and Adopted 2. Capital Improvement Plan: Verify necessary funding sources 3. Capital Outlay Requests for Equipment that exceed $25,000 4. Land Acquisitions -Other than those acquired via the EDA or HRA 5. Capital Projects -Municipal Buildings, Streets, Sewer Improvements, Storm Water Improvements, Street Improvements, and Water Improvements 6. Unbudgeted General Fund Requests that exceed $10,000 7. Bond Issues 8. Change and or creation of fund/investment/financial policies 9. Any other financial activity that has a significant financial impact on the city 10. Financial issues that overlap the City Council and the HRA related to development activities, such as but not limited to; inter -fund -transfers. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council authorizes the duties of the finance committee as those itemized above. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: Where upon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 12th day of February 2013.
