Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION # 13-02-036 RESOLUTION TO RECRUIT FOR AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT MANAGER WHEREAS, the City's Economic Development & Marketing Manager resigned in March, 2012 and the Assistant City Administrator/Community Development Director resigned in April, 2012, leaving a gap in the area of Economic Development; and WHEREAS, with the City Administrator's general oversight and support, the Economic Development function has been primary assigned to the Management Analyst and the Finance Director; and WHEREAS, the Economic Development Authority (EDA) is supportive of recruiting for a full-time Economic Development Manager; and WHEREAS, there was consensus among the Councilmembers to assign HRA related duties to the Economic Development Manager; and WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee recommended authorizing staff to begin a recruitment process for an Economic Development Manager. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: Motion to approve resolution # 13-02-036 to authorize staff to begin a recruitment process for an Economic Development Manager. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member, , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 12t1i day of February 2013.
