Department Highlights: <br />Building Maintenance <br />• Snow and ice removal <br />• Miscellaneous HVAC repairs <br />• Repair refrigerators in police department and alexander room <br />City Clerk <br />• "Attended" webinar re Open Meeting Law — and completed survey for LMC re webinar <br />• Met w/Manager of Gold Rush Exchange re licensing requirements <br />Engineering <br />• The primary focus of the Engineering Department continues to be the Riverdale Drive <br />Extension project. The construction plans are currently approximately 75% complete, <br />and we plan to submit them to Mn/DOT for the first review next Friday. <br />Finance <br />• Audit Workpapers: Property Tax, Special assessments & Cash <br />• Prepare and send report and letter to Anoka County regarding special assessment <br />prepayments <br />• Financial information for Shared Fired Services Grant <br />HR <br />• Contract Negotiations Research and Prep <br />• Reserve Officer and City Engineer Interviews <br />• Boards and Commissions Recruitment for Boards and Commissions, Park Inter, and <br />Economic Development Manager Recruitment <br />IT <br />• Resolved an issue that prevented access to both city websites when LOGIS cut over to <br />the new Apache servers. We've since rolled back to the original servers to do more <br />testing. <br />• Completed the creation of a Police Department imaged PC (many thanks to Captain <br />Katers for his help and diligence). This will allow the coming computer setups in PD to <br />be done much quicker than before, which in turn reduces staff downtime. It will also <br />allow us to repair hardware failures and potential virus attacks in minutes as opposed to <br />hours. Four PD computers are scheduled on being replaced by the end of February. <br />• Set up a new scanner for Crime Prevention, and three new printers for the Public Works <br />Utilities and Street departments. <br />Parks <br />• With frequent snow events, Parks Staff has been `cycling' between snow removal on <br />streets, cul -de -sacs, trails, sidewalks and rinks. One opportunity to flood the rinks so far <br />this week. <br />• Department of Corrections crew assisted with snow removal at Central Park's rinks and <br />the balance of the day was spend removing snow off the two largest, and well traversed <br />boardwalks at Sweet Bay Ridge and Lake Itasca. <br />• (An early sign of Spring ?) Additional activity occurring with the Ramsey Foundation <br />with respect to The Draw Summer Concert Series — only four more sponsorship's needed. <br />Concerts costs run from a few hundred dollars to about $800, with co sponsorship <br />opportunities a- plenty. Sponsorship benefits packets for businesses are available by <br />request. Attached to the Weekly Update is the Schedule of Concerts for 2013 Draw <br />Event Series (with open sponsorship dates listed). <br />
