CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, September 25, 1990 at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Richard Cich <br />Councilmember Stephen F. DeLuca <br />Councilmember Alan Pearson <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator David Hartley <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />City Engineer Steven Jankowski <br />Merland Otto, Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the regular City Council meeting to order at 7:34 p.m. and led in the Pledge <br />of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Mr. Alan Fairweather, Melbourne, Australia - stated he is currently teaching at Jefferson <br />Elementary School as part of an exchange program. He stated that he and the teacher from <br />Jefferson Elementary School exchanged jobs, homes and vehicles. He commented that he is <br />enjoying his stay in Ramsey and feels the school system is fantastic. He presented Ramsey City <br />Council with a book on the history of his City and City Council, including information on <br />recycling, etc. He hoped they would accept this book as a "hands across the water goodwill <br />gesture". <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann thanked Mr. Fairweather and added that he would also give him a book that <br />included the history of the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Bev Swanson, President of RYAA - stated she would like to extend a thank you to Councilmember <br />Pearson for volunteering his tractor and labor to help seed the new fields at Central Park. She <br />stated how proud she was of the City of Ramsey for pulling together when volunteers are needed. <br />She also expressed a thank you to the City Council on behalf of the RYAA for their aid in getting <br />the two new fields at Central Park. She informed Council that she would like to address some <br />concerns when they got to Case 4/10 and would appreciate being able to give her input at that time. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to approve the <br />agenda with the following modifications: <br /> <br />Add Case #15: Two Settlements for Purchase of Easements; 153rd <br />Avenue N.W. and Rivlyn Street N.W. <br /> <br />City Council/September 25, 1990 <br /> Page 3 of 20 <br /> <br /> <br />
