<br />Councilmember LeTourneau introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #13-01-019 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTIAL PAYMENT TO NORTH PINE <br />AGGREGATE FOR CITY IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT #12-20; SUNWOOD DRIVE REALIGNMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> on June 28, 2011 the Ramsey Housing and Redevelopment Authority <br />awarded an engineering services contract to Landform Professional Services to complete the <br />necessary Ramsey Town Center AUAR updates, and prepare of a feasibility study for the <br />realignment of Sunwood Drive NW; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> on July 26, 2011 the Ramsey City Council awarded an engineering services <br />contract to WSB & Associates to prepare a feasibility study for the portion of the Sunwood Drive <br />realignment contained within Anoka County right-of-way, and assist in completing updates to <br />the existing Ramsey Town Center AUAR; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> on January 24, 2012 the Ramsey City Council accepted the feasibility <br />studies and called for the preparation of plans and specifications for City Improvement Project <br />#12-20; Sunwood Drive Realignment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> on May 22, 2012 the Ramsey City Council accepted the plans and <br />specifications and authorized the solicitation of bids; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> North Pine Aggregates, Inc is the lowest responsible bidder; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />as of January 22, 2013 $2,135,965.52 has been paid to date; and <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />Engineering Technician IV has inspected the completed work and <br /> <br />recommends partial payment to North Pine Aggregate, Inc. in the amount of $45,267.12. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />1)That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to North Pine Aggregates, Inc. <br />for Improvement Project #12-20; CSAH 83(Armstrong Boulevard) – Sunwood Drive in <br />the amount of $45,267.12. <br /> <br /> <br />2)That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City <br />Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. <br /> <br /> <br />3)That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of <br />bills for the date of January 22, 2013. <br /> <br /> <br />4)That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this <br />resolution. <br />RESOLUTION #13-01-019 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
