Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #13-02-051 <br />RESOLUTION TO ADDRESS BUILDING MAINTENANCE STAFFING NEEDS <br />WHEREAS, the City previously employed two full-time and one part-time building <br />maintenance employees (2.5 FTE); and <br />WHEREAS, the building maintenance function requires a minimum of 2.5 FTEs; and <br />WHEREAS, the City entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with <br />AFSCME in order to meet coverage requirements; and <br />WHEREAS, per the AFSCME MOU, Mr. Jeff Strelow has recall rights to the Building <br />Maintenance position. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br />Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: <br />Motion to approve resolution # 13-02-051 to hire Mr. Jeff Strelow as a regular part-time building <br />maintenance worker, at step 1 of the 2012 wage scale @$15.99 per hour for 20 hours per week; <br />with the option to work up to 30 hours per week on occasion, as necessary, as determined by the <br />Public Works Superintendent and approved by the City Administrator. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member, <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 26t1i day of February 2013. <br />
