CASE #1: <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR A VARIANCE TO CONSTRUCT AN ACCESSORY STRUCTURE <br />NEARER THE FRONT PROPERTY LINE THAN THE PRINCIPAL <br /> STRUCTURE; CASE OF MR. JACK MOWRY <br /> By: Acting Community Developoment Director Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Mr. Jack Mowry is requesting a variance to construct an accessory structure nearer the front <br />property line than the principal structure at 16361 Dysprosium Street N.W. Mr. Mowry's home is <br />located 150 feet from the front property line. He is proposing to construct an accessory structure <br />90 feet from the front property line. City Code states that accessory structures shall not be <br />consnmcted nearer the front property line that the principal structure. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />Mr. Mowry is restricted from building his accessory structure in the rear yard because he would <br />have to encroach on the Rum River setback in order to meet setback requirements from the septic <br />system.
