Case g7: Adopt Resolution Establishing Purchasing Authority: <br /> <br />Sandra Ashley stated that the proposed resolution to establish the necessary approvals <br />required for purchasing regulation and control was reviewed by Council on November 14, <br />1989. Sandra noted that the draft reviewed on November 14 has been amended to assure <br />that the City can act on items exceeding $500 in the event of a true emergency. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to adopt <br />Resolution #89-12-331 establishing dollar amounts and necessary approvals required for <br />purchasing regulation and control on behalf of the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mavor Reimann, Councilmembers Peterson and Pearson. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Counc[lmembers Cich and DeLuca. <br /> <br />Case #8: Turn-Out Gear Invoice From Clarey's Safety. Equipment, Inc.: <br /> <br />Sandra Ashley reported that the Fire Department did place an order with Clarey's Safety <br />Equipment for turn-out gear at a specified price. Two months later, shipment was received <br />and after that an invoice was received that reflected a 22% increase above the purchase <br />order price. Between placing the order and receiving the invoice, Clarey's did not notify <br />the City of any price increase. In addition, the terms of the purchase order indicate that no <br />order is to be filled at a price greater than that stated on the purchase order. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to deny Mr. <br />Clarey's request for additional payment in the amount of $446.00 for turn-out gear be <br />denied. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Peterson and Pearson. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmembers Cich and DeLuca. <br /> <br />Case gg: Adopt City Ordinance Changing The Name Of 138th Avenue <br /> N.W. And Riverdale Road N.W. To Front Street N.W.: <br /> <br />Mark Banwart recalled that on November 28, 1989, Council introduced an ordinance to <br />change the names of 138th Avenue N.W. and Riverdale Road N.W. to Front Street N.W. <br />for continuity purposes and to eliminate confusion. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to adopt <br />Ordinance #89-29, an ordinance changing the name of 138th Avenue N.W. and Riverdale <br />Road N.W. to Front Street N.W. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Peterson and Pearson. <br />Voting No: None.
