STAFF INPUT MISSISSIPPI RIVER BRIDGE CROSSING UPDATE By: Mark S. Banwart, Community Development Director Status Report: The following is a list of items and issues which have been completed regarding the proposed Ramsey/Dayton Mississippi River Bridge Crossing: · City of Dayton Thoroughfare Plan shows the proposed River Crossing · City of Ramsey Thoroughfare Plan shows the future River Bridge Crossing · County of Anoka has included the proposed River Bridge Crossing as a part of it's Comprehensive Transportation Plan · We have receipt of the City of Maple Grove Resolution//89-059 stating their support for the bridge · The Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce has endorsed the River Bridge Crossing · The Northern Mayor's Association has endorsed the River Bridge Crossing · The City's Amended Comprehensive Plan was accepted by Metropolitan Council (tile Plan clearly describes the proposed bridge crossing project) · The Minnesota Department of Transportation is currently working on it's Twenty Year Capital Improvements Plan and is reviewing the proposed bridge as a possible project. We will know the results of their findings within the next two months. · And finally, a recently approved plat entitled "Tooth Acres" has been recorded. This proposed plat includes approximately 108 acres which includes the right-of- way for the proposed Mississippi River Bridge Crossing on the Ramsey side of the river. · On Friday, February 2, 1990, Anoka County purchased Outlots B, D, E, F and G. The purpose of this acquisition provides for the road right-of-way being representative as Outlot B and E, with the remaining purchased lots going to the Huseby/Foster Regional Park, which is adjacent to this site.
