PRESENTATION Members of the Star Flight Camp Fire Group ,,,,,ere prescm to prescm a cake to Cilv Council in honor of the 80th birthday of the national Carat~ Fire organization. CONSE:,~T AGENDA Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councitmember Pearson to approve thc following items contained in the Consent Agenda: 1 ) License Applications Further Discussion: License #c)0-094GC is contingent upon staff determining that there is no outside storage of equipment at the property address. 2) Resolution #90-03-062 approving accounts payable transactions for the period February 17, 1990 through March 2, 1990 in the amount of $115,180.75. Further Discussion: Councilmember Pearson requested an explanation of a bill for $900 for 4th Dimension computer training. Mr. Hanley replied that he authorized the expenditure for he and Councilmember DeLuca attended a two-clay training seminar to learn how to use a program to develop data bases for the C/ry. Councilmember Pearson inquired about a bill for $4280 for SCBA gear for the hre department; noted that the resolution authorizing the expenditure was in the amoum of $3988; inquired as to which fund the difference was taken from. Sandra Ashley replied that expenditure was authorized from the Landfill Trust Fund and so the price balance was taken from that fund also; Sandra noted that in this instance, the Fire Chief did give the vendor verbal approval of the price increase. Councilmember Cich referred again to the $900 bill for computer training and noted that Mr. Hanley has been instructed to hire consultants for computer tasks in order that he may give his full attention to administrating the City affairs. Motion by Councilmember Cich and seconded by Acting Mayor Peterson to require that Mr. Hartley and Councilmember DeLuca reimburse the City for the cost of the 4th Dimension computer training course. Further Discussion: Acting Mayor Peterson and Counciimember Pearson stated that the)' would like more information before he votes on the motion to have the City reimbursed for the computer training course. Mr. Hartley noted that the time he spends making the computer system work for Ramsey is on week-ends and evenings. Councilmember Peterson noted that none of the dep:mment heads that would be using the system attended the seminar. Councilmember DeLuca sta~ed that them is a difference ~m, een developing a pro,am and using one; staff traini% comes into play after the pro,am is developed. Councilmember Cich and Acting Mayor Peterson withdrew the motion and tabled a decision on the direction for reimbursement for 4th Dimension computer training for further discussion and information, Cib, Council/March 13, 1990 Pa[4e 4 of 13
