MEMORANDUM

TO:

FROM:

DATE:

SU BJ ECT:

City Council Members, and Planning and Zoning Members

Ken Wagner, Chairman of Economic Development Commission

June 6, 1990

Proposed Zoning Changes

As the City goes through a rezoning process, the Economic Development Commission was
requested to study the proposed changes in zoning for the City. One of the main changes
that the Economic Development Commission suggests would be the development of a Light
Industrial District located south of County Road #116 and south of Sunfish Lake Bird
NW,

Attached is a proposed set of guidelines for the Light Industrial District by the Economic
Development Commission. These proposals are for the industrial district located along
south of County Road #116 and east of Sunfish Lake Blvd NW. The proposed Light
Industrial District would have stricter guidelines than that of the proposed Traditional
Industrial District.

The following guidelines are similar to Anoka's McKinley Street industrial district area.
By adopting sub-guidelines similar to those of Anoka's, this could eliminate some of the
problems of the areas zoning.

Please consider the following proposed guideline when determining how the area will be
rezoned.
