CITY COUNCIL <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, May 22, 1990 at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota regarding <br />Improvement Project #90-14 (trunk sanitary sewer and watermain for Wood Pond Hills <br />Addition). <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Stephen F. DeLuca <br />Councilmember Alan Pearson <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br /> <br />Members Absent: Councilmember Richard Cich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the public hearing to order at 7:18 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka stated that in addition to Wood Pond Hills, the proposed project would <br />service Fleischer's 2nd Addition, Chestnut Hills, Cedar Hills, Cedar Acres and Windemere <br />Woods. <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka proposed to describe the route to be followed to extend sewer and water trunk <br />lines to serve the areas listed above. <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka stated that the total estimated cost to extend sewer trunk and watermain is <br />$1,200,300; the charge per REC is $1,357; there are 522 REC's which totals $708,354; <br />this leaves $491,446 to specially assess at $942.43 per REC on an interim basis (this <br />assessment comes back to the developers as undeveloped areas develop); this brings the <br />total estimated cost per REC to $2299.43; amortized over 5 years for $591.18 per year, <br />amortized over 10 years for $358.25 per year. <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka stated that following this public hearing, City Council may approve plans on <br />July 24, receive bids on August 28, commence construction in September with completion <br />in June of 1991 and conduct assessment hearings in July of 1991.
