From:

Monte D. Zillinger
6950 150th Avenue NW
Ramsey, Minnesota 55303
(612) 427-0632

August 17, 1990

To:

Kay McAIoney
City of Ramsey "
15153 NW Now"then Blvd.
Ramsey, Minnesota 55303

Dear Ms. McAIoney;

A recent Ramsey newsletter reported there were vacancies on several committees.
Please accept this letter as my application for voluntary service on a committee. I
understand there are openings on the airport commission, the economic
development commission, and the horse care commission. I would be interested in
working on any of them since my primary motive is simply to get involVed in my
community. I feel that l could be an asset on any of the commissions.

I have an Associate of Arts degree from Nebraska Western College, Scottsbluff,
Nebraska, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Chadron State College, Chadron,
Nebraska. My major was in Criminal Justice, however, I filled in electives with
business classes.

I served in the United States Air Force as an intelligence analyst from 1972 'to 1976
including two years atthe National Security Agency, Ft. Meade, Maryland. I worked
as a municipal police officer and as a deputy sheriff in Alliance, Nebraska. In 1979 I
became employed by the Burlington Northern Railroad and have worked in Alliance,
Nebraska and Birmingham, Alabama. I am now the Special Agent in Charge at the
Minneapolis Terminal.

My home is close to the airport in Ramsey so I have an interest in activities there.
Since I am a businessman 1 have an interest in the economic well being of my own
community. I also feel l could offer support to the horse care commission even
though I know verylittle about horses. I have'been involved in breeding' and selling
AKC American Cocker Spaniels and am generally concerned for the well-being of all
animals.

Please feel free to call on my if you think I can be of service. My daytime office
telephone is 782-3260.
