City Council directed staff to have a grate installed on the storm sewer outl~ to prevent <br />access by children. Dorothy Stadfelt inquired as to the status of whether or not the lot <br />would be buildabte. Mr. Otto replied that if Mr. Knutson can show that storm water is <br />adequately taken care of through the storm water system, he can make the lot a buildable lot <br />by adding enough fill to bring it up to street grade. <br /> <br />Case #2: Demonstration by Unisys Corporation of Accu-Vote Vote <br /> Tallying Equipment <br /> <br />Lou Bovitz of the Unisys Corporation was present to demonstrate the Accu-Vote vote <br />tallying equipment. The demonstration was followed by a question and answer period. <br /> <br />City Council recessed at 9:15 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 9:29 p.m. <br /> <br />Case #3: Request for Block Party <br /> <br />Steve Volna of 8650 - 176th Avenue N.W. was present representing the residents of his <br />neighborhood and requesting permission to hold a block .party on 'June 23rd from 2:00 <br />p.m. to 10:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to approve <br />the request of Debbie Thatcher to allow the use of a City street for a block party from 2:00 <br />p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on June 23, 1990 contingent upon the following: 1) A statement <br />should be received from the sponsors of this event stating that the City of Ramsey is not <br />involved as a sponsor or in any other way; 2) The road should be clearly marked and <br />lighted; 3) Provisions for access by emergency vehicles should be made and <br />communicated to the Police Department, Fire Department and ambulance services, 4) The <br />sponsors should be made aware that if alcoholic beverages are dispensed, they may be <br />subject to dram shop liability, as well as criminal penalties if under-aged persons are <br />consuming and possessing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Pearson, Peterson, Cich <br />and DeLuca. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley directed Mr. Banwart to provide the residents with specifications for lighting <br />and a statement absolving the City from liability based on information he obtains from <br />Police Chief Auspos and City Attorney Goodrich. <br /> <br />Case #4: Request for Final Plat Approval of Gateway North Industrial <br /> Park Plat Four; Case of Anoka Industrial Park, Inc. <br /> <br />Mr. Banwart recalled that on May 22, 1990, City Council approved the preliminary plat for <br />Gateway North Industrial Park Plat Four, a re-subdivision of Gateway Industrial Park Plat <br />Three, Outlot A. Per the Council's direction on May 22, 1990, the issue of park dedication <br />due on the plat was re-evaluate& Mr. Goodrich stated that when Gateway North Industrial <br />Park was platted in 1977, the developer agreed to donate the right-of-way for County Road <br />4/1t6 and in return the City waived the park dedication requirement due on that plat. <br />Gateway North Industrial Park Plat Four is a re-subdivision of Outlot A, Plat Three.
