Case ~9: Consider Removal of the North Forty Deveiopmen! Agreemen! from the Anoka County Public Record City Attorney Goodrich stated that in response to a letter and petition received from the resirtents of the North Forty dated Jut.,,' 24, 1990, he is recommending that the Cily take action to have the North Forty Development Agreement removed from the Anoka Count.',' Public Record. Mr. Goodrich noted that with the removal of the development agreement from the public record, the City wilt retain the 75' utility easement as shown on the plat. Motion by Councilmember Cich and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to authorize the City Attorney to prepare the appropriate document to cause the August 15, 1988 development agreement recorded with the Anoka County Recorder affecting the North Forty Plat to be removed from the Count3' Reeorder's records and to direct the Mayor and City Administrator to sign said document as prepared by the Cie3, Anorney. Motion carried. Voting 'Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmember Cich, Petersom DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None CITIZEN INPUT John Ploeger, 15640 Juniper Ridge Drive, Ramsey - John inquired if the City has any plans for developing the park located at approximately Roanoke Street N.W. and I55th Avenue N.W.. Mayor Reimann referred Mr. Ploeger to the Park Commission. Mr. Hartley noted that the City is considering a park bond issue this fall which would include improvements in many parks. Mr. Hartley stated that there will be a meeting on August 29, 1990 of the Park Bond Committee to discuss issues to be included on the proposed bond. Jim Gilbertson, 17930 Ermine Street N.W., Ramsey - Jim stated that he was of the understanding that the airport was voted down at a special referendum and now he has heard that the airport is still up for consideration and inquired as to the status of it and Waste Management. Mr. Hartley replied that at the last regular City Council meeting, the City Council voted three to two to continue processing an application for airport improvements and to seek approval from FAA for funding. Jim Gilbertson stated that he was of the understanding that airports and landfills are not compatible land uses and he cannot understand why the airport is still a live issue when the people voted it down. Mr. Gilbertson stated that he is also opposed to City Council continuously granting extensions to the landfill and never listening to the public. Iv[r. Ha.rtley suggested that Mr. Gilbert.son obtain a cop3' of the City Council minutes so that he can unde~tand why the Council voted the way the3' did.
