RAMSEY CITY COUNCIL <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a public hearing on Wednesday, Septembe: 5, 1990 at thc. <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramse)', Minnesota regarding <br />Improvement Project #89-15 (sanitary sewer, watermain, storm sewer and street improvements of <br />Dolomite Street N.W.). <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Alan Pearson <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br />Councilmember Stephen F. DeLuca <br />Councilmember Richard Cich <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Cit-3, Administrator David Hartlev <br />City Engineer Steven JankowskJ <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />Peter Raat' 'toke, Hakanson Anderson Associates <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the public hearing to order at 7:47 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Mr. Rttat' 'toke stated that Project #89-15 is not yet complete and the assessment hearings are being <br />held in order to certify the assessments to the County by October 10, 1990. The residents will <br />have 30 days to pa,,,, the assessment without incurring an), interest. The total project cost is <br />$145,442.53; $70,296.16 represents trunk costs and $75,146.37 represents costs for laterals and <br />streets. There is one commercial property to be assessed on a front footage basis at $70.08 per <br />foot for an assessment of $18,921.60. The remaining amount of $56,224.77 will be assessed to <br />eight residential units for a per unit cost of $7,028.10. Mr. Raatikka noted that this pa.nicular <br />project is more costly because a lift station was required. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Steve Bi',dcemore - 13659 Dolomite Street N.~3,. - Mr. Blakemore stated that he would like to take <br />this opportunity to serve notice of his objection to his proposed assessment of $14,056.20. Mr. <br />Blakemore noted that he is' "' o <br /> tx,m~_ assessed for two units, but he has only one lot of record. <br /> <br />Mc.
