Mr. Hartley stated that one of the issues of confusion was regarding removing labels from glass. <br />The recycling service changed the literatm'e so it doesn't have to be removed unless it's loose <br />already. Mr. Hartley stated one of the biggest conflicts seemed to be what Monday is pick-up da5'. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cich suggested talking with Jim Gromberg, Project Manager. and getting it <br />straight. <br /> <br />Councilmember DeLuca stated some people put their recycling container om eyeD' Monday <br />be. cause they don't know which Monday is their da>,. <br /> <br />Councilmember Pemrson stated another big conflict is regarding which plastics are recyctable. He <br />feels that definitely n~ds to be clarified. He's concerned that if the correct information is not <br />handed out, people will become discouraged and not want to recycle. <br /> <br />Counciimember Cich suggested an article in the Ramsev Resident to clarify the da.',, of pickup and <br />also what is recyclable and what preparation needs to be done so it is accepted by the recycling <br />service. <br /> <br />Councilmember Pearson stated that when he had some items rejected, the recycling provider left a <br />correction sheet in his bin. <br /> <br />Case #12: Personnel Committee Report <br /> <br />Councilmember Cich stated that Jo Ann Thieling is the new Recording Secreta.q', there is further <br />study being done on job descriptions, some issues were tabled and he also stated that he would <br />give a better report next time. <br /> <br />Mr. Ha.riley stated that Mr. Donald Johnson accepted the position as Senior Engineer Technician in <br />salary =made 3.5 at an annual salary of $22,642.00. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cich and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to adopt Resolution <br />· ~)0-1 t -349 offering Senior Engineer Technician position to Donald Johnson. <br /> <br />Motion earned. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Cich, Pearson, DeLuca and <br />Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />.~ir. Hartiey stated there were man5' options available for health and life insurance providers. "Fne <br />majoriD' of employees indicated their preference is to stay with LOGIS. The Planning and Zoning <br />Commission also recommended LOGIS. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Cich to stay with LOGIS as <br />the health and life insurance provider. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Re/mann. Counciimembers Peterson, Cich, DeLuca and <br />Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mr. Har~Iev. stated that the comparable worth study and the chanaes in law were cnsc. ussea at" ~ <br />Personnel Committee meetin a and the Committee recommended bringing in two organizations that <br />can provide the stud',' and implement the plans and schedule a meeting with the Council and <br />employees to decide Which organization would be chosen to do the stud,,'.
