CITY COUNCIL
PUBLIC HEARING
CITY OF RAMSEY
ANOKA COUNTY
STATE OF MINNESOTA

The Ramsey City Council conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, January 23, 1990, at the
Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota regarding
1990 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Funds.

Members Present:

Mayor Gary Reimann
Councilmember Richard Cich
Councilmember Alan Pearson
Councilmember Kenneth Peterson
Councilmember Stephen F. DeLuca

Also Present:

City Administrator David Hartley
City Attorney William Goodrich
City Engineer Peter Raatikka
Community Development Director Mark Banwart
Finance Officer Sandra Ashley

CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Reimann called the public hearing to order at 8:08 p.m.

CITIZEN INPUT

Mark Banwart stated that on an annual basis there is an entitlement of funds allocated to the
City of Ramsey through the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development
(HUD). Ramsey's allocation for 1990 is approximately $26,000. 1990 represents a new
CDBG funding cycle which means the City has the capability to roil-over the funds to
future years and accumulate the funds. The County does bill the City $1000 for each
CDBG project that is administered so the City does save money by limiting the number of
different CDBG projects within a funding cycle. Mark Banwart noted that the public
hearing is required in order to allow the public the opportunity to actively participate in
suggested funding uses for CDBG funds.

There was no other citizen input.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to adjourn
the public hearing.

Motion carried.
and Peterson. Voting No: None.

The public hearing adjourned at 8:11 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,

s yT a
Planning Assistant

Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, Cich

David Hartley
City Administrator

City Council Public Hearing/January 23, 1990
Page 1 of 1
