<br />Councilmember LeTourneau introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #13-02-036 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO RECRUIT FOR AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT MANAGER <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> , the City’s Economic Development & Marketing Manager resigned in <br />March, 2012 and the Assistant City Administrator/Community Development Director resigned in <br />April, 2012, leaving a gap in the area of Economic Development; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />with the City Administrator’s general oversight and support, the Economic <br />Development function has been primary assigned to the Management Analyst and the Finance <br />Director; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the Economic Development Authority (EDA) is supportive of recruiting for <br />a full-time Economic Development Manager; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> there was consensus among the Councilmembers to assign HRA related <br /> <br />duties to the Economic Development Manager; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the Personnel Committee recommended authorizing staff to begin a <br />recruitment process for an Economic Development Manager. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br /> <br />1. Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: <br /> <br />2. Motion to approve resolution # 13-02-036 to authorize staff to begin a recruitment <br />process for an Economic Development Manager. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Kuzma, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Elvig <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Tossey <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />
