<br />Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #13-02-051 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO ADDRESS BUILDING MAINTENANCE STAFFING NEEDS <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> , the City previously employed two full-time and one part-time building <br />maintenance employees (2.5 FTE); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the building maintenance function requires a minimum of 2.5 FTEs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the City entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with <br />AFSCME in order to meet coverage requirements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> per the AFSCME MOU, Mr. Jeff Strelow has recall rights to the Building <br />Maintenance position. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br /> <br />1. Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: <br /> <br />2. Motion to approve resolution # 13-02-051 to hire Mr. Jeff Strelow as a regular part-time <br />building maintenance worker, at step 1 of the 2012 wage scale @$15.99 per hour for 20 <br />hours per week; with the option to work up to 30 hours per week on occasion, as <br />necessary, as determined by the Public Works Superintendent and approved by the City <br />Administrator. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />LeTourneau, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Backous <br /> Councilmember Elvig <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Tossey <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
