;~noka Electric Cooperative <br />An oP~, MN 55303 <br />12-17-87 <br /> <br />Board Policy 214 <br /> STPSET LIGHTS <br /> <br />I. OBJECTIVE <br /> <br />To set forth the terrs and conditions for street lighting systems to <br />illuminate public roadways within the Cooperativ_e_'s service territory. <br /> <br />II. POLICY <br /> <br />Upon proper application, the Cooperative shall furnish, install and <br />maintain complete street lighting systems for municipalities and/or <br />other governing bodies within the cooperativ~'s service area or, if <br />desired, shall provide only electrical energy to customer (member)- <br />owned systems. Energy will be unmetered and the energy rate shall be <br />based on a cost-of-service analysis and recomputed and established <br />concurrent with each change in the Coomerative's published electric <br />rates. The Cooperative shall maintain an accurate accounting of all <br />installations, relocations, and removals so that applicable charges may <br />be calculated on a "current month" basis for each monthly billing. <br /> <br />A. .cooperative-Owned Lichtinq System <br /> <br />In street lighting systems owned by the Cooperative, the customer <br />shall select from the Cooperati~'s standard designs, the type of <br />system and style of fixture appropriate for the particular <br />situation, and s~mll indicate preferred installation locations. <br /> <br />The mg. nthly rate for a cooperative-owned lighting system shall have <br />two components, (1) an energy rate and (2) a facilities charge. <br />The facilities charge includes both the cost of ownership'of a <br />standard street lighting system and all associated repair and <br />--'.!?t~nance costs. <br /> <br />If the Cooperative is subject to installation costs above and <br />beyond the costs for a standard installation, the customer will be <br />required to pay, in advance, an appropria%? one-time charge as a <br />contribution in aid of construction. <br /> <br />B. Customer (Member)-Owned Lighting System <br /> <br />In street lighting systems installed and/or ownedby a municipal <br />amd/or other governing body, the Cooperative will provide electric <br />service at a designated power point. It will be the responsibility <br />of the customer to repair and maintain all such lighting system <br />equipment. <br /> <br />The monthly rate for a customer-o~ed street lighting system shall <br />be for energy only. <br /> <br />!ii.
