We would recommend that you require sea level elevations only for
houses that are in or near a 100 year flood zone. It can be very
time consuming and costly to obtain benchmarks and run levels
into an area and normally elevations based on an assumed datum
relative to the road are sufficient. We are assuming that you
will not require elevations on adjacent lots in rural
subdivisions. This could be very time consuming particularly in
wooded areas. We also see no need to use iron monuments at the
setback lines. Wood stakes are cheaper, take less time to set
and are just as easy to maintain throughout construction.

We hope that these suggestions will be helpful to you.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact
us.

Yours truly,

Caine & Associates, Land Surveyors, Inc.

J aine, President
