Case #8

APPROVE REGISTERED LAND SURVEY FOR FRONT
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
By: Bill Goodrich, City Attorney

STREET

Background/Observations:

As you are aware, the City of Ramsey has been involved in the Front Street Improvement Project
since 1987. This project involved the traversing of numerous metes and bounds properties which
fragmented a number of the non-planned metes and bounds properties. Before you is the City of
Ramsey's effort to correct some of these land description deficiencies by creating a Registered
Land Survey. The reason that the City of Ramsey has pursued the Registered Land Survey format
vs. a subdivision was due to the fact that the parcel was previously Lot 15 of the Auditor's
Subdivision Number 30 and that the future development plans for Tract A and Tract B have not
been determined. At which time the property owners of Tract A and-Tract C determine that they
want to sell a portion of those tracts, the subdivision platting process would be necessary. For
your information, the following items are enclosed:

A) Registered Land Survey No.

(Signature page and drawing)

Staff Recommendation:

Staff recommends approval of Registered Land Survey No. ~

as presented.

Commission Action:

Motion to recommend/not recommend approval of Registered Land Survey No.
presented.

as

Review Checklist:

City Administrator
City Attorney X
City Engineer X
Community Development Director X

Chief of Police
Finance Officer
Planning & Zoning Comm.
Park & Recreation Comm.
