Date: 07-~8-~0

Subject: Conditional Use permit {or Craig Johnson

To: Planning & Zoning Commission
15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W.
Ramsay, MN 55303
CC: Mr. & Mrs. Craig Johnson
File

RECEIVED

.....
From: Doug & Judy Pries
.__ 17511 Gibbon St. N.W.
Ramsay, MN 55303

tn the interest of being good nieghbors and staying good nieghbors, had
Craig Johnson approached us before he purchased his home and declared his
in%eh%ions of operating a Auto Repair Garage out of %his home, he would
have been able to get an understanding of how [he people living around him
would receive this enterprise.

Mr. Johnson approached my husband and convinced him to sign a petition
to allow him to operate a car repair service. My husband and ~ have since
had an opportunity to discuss ~his and our mutual vote has changed.

#~ We-moved here to %his residential district to raise a ~amily, and
to gain equity in a home in a prime building area, where we forsee large
increases in property values in years %o come.

#2 We don't see how a neighbor conducting a business out of his home
would be advantageous to our market property value. If a conditional use
permit is transferable, (%his statement was brought %o our attention
recently), we could be looking a% a junk yard across the road should Craig
Johnson sell that home.

My husband signed this petition without my knowledge and ~ am not
agreement with it, nor is he now i~ agreement.

in

We feel that Mr Johnson should be given a conditional use permit
i{ he has one car on his premises undergoing service at a time, and
subsequent homeowners of this residence should also have this restriction.

We must protect what is ours, and deeply regret any inconvenience The
Johnson's will experience due to our {eelings about their conditional use
permit request. We hope that they will understand our side and that no
hard feelings will occur as a result o¢ ~his. We were hoping %ha% we
would get an opportunity to meet %hem and perhaps ¢ind friends in one
another.

Sincerely,

Douglas E. and Judy L. Pries
