RECEIVED <br />SEP 1 1 JgO <br /> <br />September 7, 1990 <br /> <br />Sylvia Frolik <br />City of Ramsey <br />15153 Nowthen Blvd. NW <br />Ramsey, MN 55303 <br /> <br />RE: Review of Sketch Plan for proposed Faye Addition <br /> <br />Dear Ms. Frolik: <br /> <br />The Metropolitan Council and the Minnesota Environmental Quality <br />Board (MEQB) have reviewed the sketch plan for the proposed Faye <br />Addition for consistency with the Mississippi River Corridor Critical <br />Area Interim Development Regulations. The Interim Development <br />Regulations will apply until the city's Critical Area Plan and <br />Regulations have been approved by the MEQB. <br /> <br />The portion of the proposed Faye Addition within the MUSA is <br />consistent with critical area development standards. However, the <br />lots located in the portion of the proposed subdivision outside the <br />MUSA must be at least 5 acres to meet the minimum unsewered lot size <br />requirements of the Rural Open Space District. The city should also <br />submit a sewer plan to the Metropolitan Council when the preliminary <br />plat is scheduled for review. Finally, the city should indicate how <br />the trees within the 200 foot setback be protected from excessive <br />cutting. <br /> <br />Thank you for the opportunity to review the sketch plan proposal and <br />I hope the comments aid in the preliminary plat review process.
