CASE #1: <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR SITE PLAN REVIEW; CASE OF BERNIE VEVEA, VE-VE, INC. <br /> By: Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Mr. Bernie Vevea is requesting site plan review to construct a 60' x 90' (5400 square feet) <br />expansion to his existing manufacturing facility located at 14047 Azurite St. N.W. The existing <br />facility is developed on two lots of record and totals approximately 2.25 acres. The Planning and <br />Zoning Commission may want to consider recommending consolidation of lots. <br /> <br />The following items are enclosed for your information: <br /> <br />a) <br />b) <br />c) <br />d) <br /> <br />Site location map <br />Site plan <br />Memo from Economic Development Commission <br />City Engineer's Review Letter dated October 11, 1990. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />On October 2, 1990, Mr. Vevea approached the Planning and Zoning Commission during Citizen <br />Input and requested that in lieu of the limited construction season remaining, the required time <br />frame and application requirements for site plan reviews be waived and consideration be given to <br />recommending site plan approval of his proposed expansion. In the discussion that followed, the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission tabled Mr. Vevea's request until the special Planning and <br />Zoning meeting scheduled for October 16, 1990, to allow the City Engineer sufficient time to <br />prepare a written review letter. <br /> <br />The Economic Development Commission met <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />The City Engineer's review letter itemizes inadequacies in the site plan that need to be addressed. <br /> <br />Commission Action: <br /> <br />Motion to: <br />Recommend that City Council apProve/deny Mr. Bernie Vevea's site plan for the expansion <br />of Ve-Ve, Inc. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />City Administrator Chief of Police <br />City Attorney Finance Officer <br />City Engineer X Planning & Zoning Commission <br />Zoning Administrator X Other <br /> <br /> <br />
