PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF EAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramscy City Counci] conducted a continuation of the November 15, 1988 <br />City Council meeting on Wednesday, November 16, 1988 at the Ramsey <br />~unicipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W. , Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary R,~imann <br />Councilmember A1 Svrteberg <br />Councilmember David Bawden <br />Councilmember Steve DeLuca <br />Councilmember A1 Pears on <br /> <br />City Administrator David Hartley <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the meeting back to order at 7:35 p.m. and led in the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />4) Approve gambling license request of Arrigoni, Inc. and waive the 30 day <br /> waiting period - <br /> <br />Wes Alden was present representing Arrigoni and stated that Arrigoni <br />presently has charitable gambling at J.R.'s Saloon and is applying for a <br />bingo license for J.R.'s Entertainment Center. Mr. Alden stated that <br />Arrigoni provides service to chemically dependent residents of Anoka County <br />via Anoka State Hospital and Mercy Hospital. Arrigoni files a monthly <br />financial report with the State and it is public record. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Bawden and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />waive the 60 day waiting period relating to Arrigoni's request for a bingo <br />operation in J.R.'s Entertainment Center. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca, Pearson and Bawden. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case ~11: Report From The Make The Scene. Keep Ramsev Clean Committee: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that the Make The Scene, Keep Ramsey Clean Committee has <br />recommended that City Council approve sending Project Manager Jim Gromberg <br />to the Rational Convention in Washington, D.C., December 7 - I0, 1988. <br /> <br />City Council/November 16, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 3 of 10 <br /> <br /> <br />
