Claudia Dodge handed out a report on the Ramsey Community Education Budget which she intends to bring to the City Council, _Case ~ Discussion re_~arding park dedication for ..Riverview Estates/Rankly Merland Otto told the Commiasion that Riverview Estates Plat came in under tbe former park dedication ordinance which required either land or cash, If they elect to go under the new ordinance the City would take 35 feet and the remainder' in cash. Rand>' Eiofson ~tated he would like to ,~ee c frei3 right-of-way of about 18 feet. That together with the road right-of-way should be sufficient. Randy Elofson told the Commission that he was informed by Pete Raatikka that the front street easement would be sufficient for the trail corridor. Randy also said that he was surprised when the Commission asked for more land for park dedication. Merland Otto offered an option which would reduce the easement on the south ~ide of the road. In order for this to work, the applicant would have tv agree to work under the new ordinance, Randy'Elofson said that be wants to wc~rk under the old ordiance and pay the fees but he would not disagree to giving some of the land and paying cash for the rest as lcng as it didn't e~fect the lot sizes. Merland Otto was directed to determine the width of the trail corridor that could be dedicated while not affecting minimum lot sizes of 20,000 square feet. John Lichter suggested that Randy Elofson negotiaue with City staff. The consensus of the Commission was to table this issue. COMMISSION INPUT None.
