Encourage walkabilty through pedestrian friendly neighborhoods and transportation. <br />II. Maintain land owner rights. <br />III. Employ careful foresight in city planning that includes citizen review, reliance on peer - <br />reviewed science, and comprehensive data collection and analysis. <br />IV. Involve all citizens in decisions that impact their lives, property and neighborhoods <br />through the use of a facilitated process such as collaborative decision - making. <br />V. Embrace a people - centered, long -term perspective that nurtures neighborhood and <br />community interactions and meets the needs of the present without compromising the <br />ability of future generations to meet their own needs. <br />VI. Preserve unique natural resources for the community, its residents and future <br />developments. <br />VII. Attract and sustain businesses should serve the whole community. <br />
