Councihnember Kurak introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #03-06-169 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ENDING THE PROBATIONARY PERIOD FOR POLICE CAPTAIN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at its November 26, 2002 meeting, the City Council promoted Tim Dwyer <br />to the position of First Sergeant effective November 27, 2002; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on January 28, 2003, the position of First Sergeant was changed (in title <br />only) to Captain; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Dwyer has successfully completed his six-month probationary period <br />as Police Captain; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee, at its June 24, 2003 meeting agreed with the staff <br />recomlnendation to end the probationary period for Tim Dwyer, effective May 27, 2003. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br />Personnel Committee to end the probationary period for Tim Dwyer, effective May 27, <br />2003. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Pearson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councihnember Cook <br />Councihnember Strommen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig <br /> <br /> <br />
