Councilmember Kurak introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #03-06-167 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HIRING OF AMY GEISLER AS AN ASSOCIATE <br />PLANNER <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on May 13, 2003, the City Council authorized staff to begin a recruitment <br />process for an Associate Planner; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the position was posted internally; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Amy Geisler, Community Development Intern, submitted an application <br />for the position; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Ms. Geisler was interviewed by the Community Development Director, <br />Principal Planner and tire Human Resources Manager. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />TIRe City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the Personnel <br />Committee to do the following: <br /> <br />Hire Amy Geisler as an Associate Planner with an annual salary of $42,740 annually, <br />contingent upon satisfactory background and reference checks, an employment physical <br />and a drug and alcohol screen. All other personnel policies will apply normally. Ms. <br />Geisler will begin employment on or near June 25, 2003, and she will be subject to a six- <br />month probationary period. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Pearson, mid upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereofi <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councihnember Strommen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />NOlle <br /> <br /> <br />
