Approval of Agenda: vote should be changed to reflect that Mr. Max was present
and Mr. Reeve was absent.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson McDilda, Committee Members Connolly, Max and
Sitz. Voting No: None. Absent: Committee Members Reeve and Dvorak.

Ms. Sitz noted that she has provided the Library and the University Extension Office with copies
of Ramsey's Tree Book.

TASK FORCE BUSINESS

Case #1

Absentees and Next Steps

Mr. McDilda noted that even though the EPTF is a volunteer group, there are members with a
fair number of absentees. It was noted that Sue Dvorak has extenuating circumstances and her
absences are excused.

Motion by Committee Member Max and seconded by Committee Member Sitz to recommend
that City Council change the Planning Commission's appointment to the EPTF from a voting
status to a liaison status, as this arrangement would be more consistent with the City Council and
Park Commission liaison arrangement.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson McDilda, Committee Members Max, Sitz, and
Connolly. Voting No: None. Absent: Committee Members Reeve and Dvorak.

General consensus was that with the completion of the Tree Preservation ordinance, all members
of the EPTF should take the time to review their continued commitment to the Task Force prior
to going onto the next project.

Case #2

Review Final Draft of Proposed Tree Preservation Ordinance

Ms. Sitz inquired as to whether or not reconsideration should be given to specifically stating in
this ordinance that it is 'not intended to be punitive'.

Chairperson McDilda stated that there are costs associated with compliance, and it needs to be
clearly stated that the ordinance is not meant to be punitive. Consensus was to retain the
statement in the ordinance.
