ORDINANCE #03-42 <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN AMENDMENT TO SECTION 2.03, BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> <br />An Ordinance to amend Chapter 2.03 of the City Code, titled "Boards and Commissions" <br /> <br />SECTION 1. AMENDMENT <br /> <br />"Unexcused Absences" is repealed and replaced with "Attendance Policy". <br /> <br />Section 2.03 Boards and Commissions <br /> <br />Section 2.03.02 Appointment of Members, terms of Office and Removal <br /> <br />Subdivision 5. Unexcused Absences <br />"Unexcused Absences" is herebyu repealed and replaced by the following text: <br /> <br />Attendance Policy <br /> <br />The absence of a Board of Commission member from three or more regularly scheduled <br />meetings of his/her board or commission within any six (6) month period shall be cause for <br />removal of that member from his or her seat on the board or commission. The City Council shall <br />have the authority to remove board or commission members for violation of this policy. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. SUMMARY <br /> <br />Ordinance #03-42 authorizes the City Council to remove a board or commission member from <br />his or her seat on a board or commission after three absences from regularly scheduled meetings <br />in a six (6) month period. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE <br /> <br />This ordinance becomes effective upon its passage and (30) days after its puboication according <br />to law, <br /> <br />Ordinance #03-42 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
