K.J.S. <br />Associates; Case Ot' Kris Fluegel And Sarah Sawyer: <br /> <br />Mr. Banwan stated that on April 12, 1988, Cit.,,., Council approved tax increment financing <br />participation in the amount of $36,000 for the Companion Dog Training facility based on <br />the City's policy of 40%. participation in unsewered areas. On May 4, 1988, a letter was <br />sent to Kris Fluegel indicating City Council approval for tax incren'~ent funds to finance a <br />minimum of $50,000 in site improvements for the project. The developer has proceeded to <br />arrange financing based on the $50,000 participation figure. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley noted that City Staff is recommending proceeding with the tax increment <br />project at a rate of participation used in sewered areas (70%) as the subject property is <br />scheduled to have utilities in the near future and is in the urban area. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to approve <br />funding of Tax Increment Financing for an Economic Development District for Companion <br />Dog training and Supply, a.k.a.K.J.S. Associates to the maximum of "Fifty-seven <br />thousand dollars ($57,000)" based on the City's letter to Ms. Fluegel dated May 4, 1988. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Pearson, Cich and <br />DeLuca. Voting No: CouncilmemberPeterson. <br /> <br />Case #8: Personnel Committee Report: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartlev reported that the Personnel Committee has interviewed applicants and is <br />recommenc~ing offering the position of Building Official to _Mr. Glyn Huff and the position <br />of Maintenance Worker to Mr. Daniel Krantz. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cich and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to instruct City <br />Administrator David Hanley to extend Ramsey's offer of employment to Mr. Glyn Huff <br />for the position of Building Official at a beginning rate of $23,400/year, increasing to the <br />one year rate at the time of Class II certification and waiving the 6 month probationa.ry <br />period. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councih'nembers DeLuca, Pearson, Cich <br />and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cich and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to instruct City <br />Adminisu'ator David Hartley to extend Ramsey's offer of emplo3quent to/Xff. Daniel Krantz <br />for the position of Maintenance Worker at a ~ginning rate of $7.?~7/hour. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, <br />Peterson and Cich.
