PLANNING AND ZONING ODd,MISSION <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CIT~ OF RAMSEY <br /> AN~EA 00UNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on <br />Tuesday, April 5, 1988 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. <br />N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota regarding Mr. Dick Knutson's request for <br />preliminary plat approval of Juniper Woods. <br /> <br />Mambe rs Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Gerald Zinmmerman, Chairman <br />Mr. Roy Shumway <br />Mr. Michael Terry <br />Mr. Terry Hendriksen <br />Mr. Charles LaDue <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Community Development Director Anne Norris <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br /> <br />MambersAbsent: <br /> <br />Mr. Jim Holm <br />Mr. Jim Howell <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman called the public hearing to order at 7:39 p.m. <br /> <br />Mr. Dick Knutson was present and stated that he is requesting preliminary <br />plat approval of Juniper Woods which will consist of 75 single family <br />residential lots with an average size of 14,400 square feet. Mr. Knutson <br />stated that the proposed plat is a subdivision of Outlot B, Rum Acres <br />Estates and is proposed to be served by sanitary sewer and municipal water. <br /> <br />Jean Schlueter - 15011 Juniper Ridge Drive - In~c~ired as to the status of <br />Ramsey's request that Metro Council include the area south of 153rd Avenue <br />in the 1990 Urban Area. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka replied that the Planning and Zoning Commission will <br />be holding a public hearing this evening regarding amending the <br />Comprehensive Plan to ex?and the 1990 Urban Area. Following the hearing, <br />the amendment can be submitted to Metro Council and that agency has a <br />maximum of 90 days to review the request. If Metro Council approves the <br />amendment, Mr. Knutson can proceed with his deveto~ment. <br /> <br />~ae D~-yanc~,ich - 15130 Juniper Ridge Drive - inquired if all residents <br />along Juniper Ridge Drive would have to participate in the municipal sewer <br />and water project if it is aDp. roved for Juniper Woods. <br /> <br />City Lngineer Raatikka replied that the s~nitary sewer and municipal ~water <br />is only intended for Juniper Woods and there are no plans to serve Juniper <br />Pddge Drive in Rum Acres Estates with the municipal services. <br /> <br />Planning & Zoning Public Hearing/~ril 5, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
