CITY COUNCIL <br />SPECIAL WORKSHOP <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a special workshop meeting on Monday, April 3, <br />1989 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Reimann <br />Councitmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Richard Cich <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br />Councilmember Stephen F. DeLuca <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator David Hartley <br />Community Development Director Mark Banwart <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br />Mr. Merland Otto/H~anson Anderson Associates <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the special workshop meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. and led in the <br />Pledge of Alle~ance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to approve <br />the agenda as submitted. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Peterson, Cich, Pearson <br />and DeLuca. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #i: Presentation By Mr. Bob Johnson Regarding Development <br /> Policies: <br /> <br />Mr. Bob Johnson was present representing area developers and proceeded to read a letter <br />dated March 31, 1989 from himself to the City Council regarding concerns with and <br />recommendations for development policies in Ramsey (see Attachment A). <br /> <br />Mr. Johnson stated that the area developers feel it is a key and critical issue for the City of <br />Ramsey to have a full-time en~neer on staff acting as a city planner with the responsibility <br />of carrying out Ci~, Council development policies directly, without involvement by the Cit'3, <br />Manager. <br /> <br />Council/April 3, 1989 <br /> Page 1 of 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
